Save Recipes From Anywhere With Our New Chrome Extension

Recipe Cloud Chrome Extension

If you've ever found yourself bookmarking a recipe to save "for later" — only to lose it in a sea of browser tabs — we have some exciting news. Recipe Cloud now has a Chrome extension, and it makes saving recipes faster and easier than ever before.

Introducing the Recipe Cloud Chrome Extension

Whether you're browsing your favorite food blog, scrolling through Instagram, watching a cooking video on YouTube, or stumbling across something delicious on TikTok or Facebook, our new extension lets you save recipes directly to your Recipe Cloud account with a single click. No more copying and pasting, no more lost tabs, no more "I know I saw that recipe somewhere."

How to Find, Install, and Pin the Extension

Getting started takes less than a minute.

Step 1: Install from the Chrome Web Store

Head to the Recipe Cloud extension page on the Chrome Web Store and click "Add to Chrome". Confirm the installation when prompted, and you're done.

Step 2: Pin the Extension

Once installed, the extension lives in your browser's toolbar. To keep it easy to access, we recommend pinning it:

  1. Click the puzzle piece icon (🧩) in the top-right corner of Chrome — this opens your Extensions menu.
  2. Find Recipe Cloud in the list.
  3. Click the pin icon next to it.

The Recipe Cloud icon will now appear in your toolbar, ready whenever you need it.

Using the Extension for the First Time

Once installed and pinned, using the extension is simple.

Saving a Recipe

Navigate to any recipe you want to save — whether it's on a cooking website, a food blog, or a social media platform like Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or Facebook. Then just click the Recipe Cloud icon in your toolbar. The extension will automatically capture the recipe details and save it to your account.

That's it. One click.

Adding to a Collection

Want to keep things organized? When saving a recipe, you can choose which collection to add it to — or create a brand new collection right from the extension. No need to open the full app.

Editing Before You Save

Sometimes a recipe needs a small tweak before it's truly yours. The extension gives you the option to edit the recipe details before saving, so you can make any modifications right then and there.

We Want to Hear From You

This is version 1.0 of the extension, and we're just getting started. As with everything we build at Recipe Cloud, we want to make sure this tool works exactly the way you need it to.

Please try it out and let us know what you think. Your feedback directly shapes what we build next — if something isn't working the way you expected, or if there's a feature you'd love to see, we want to know.

You can reach us at support[at]recipecloudapp.com.

And if you're loving the extension, we'd really appreciate a rating and review on the Chrome Web Store. Reviews help other home cooks discover Recipe Cloud, and every one means a lot to our small team.

More Browsers Coming Soon

Chrome is just the beginning. Soon, we'll be rolling out the Recipe Cloud extension to additional browsers, including Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Safari.

If you primarily use one of these browsers, stay tuned — we'll have an update for you soon. In the meantime, feel free to use Chrome to give the extension a try and share your feedback before we expand the rollout.

We're really excited for you to try this out, and hope it makes your time in the kitchen a little more fun. Cheers!
